Artificial Intelligence
I am not sure if I actually believe in artificial intelligence. I know that computers can do a lot of things. But can they predict the human nature? Can they understand the experience of how love or hate can motivate us? No. They can simply accumulate information and categorize it as it seems "logical" in computer speak.
I heard of a woman who was travelling with her GPS in the fog. Now, fog is something that can mess with computer GPS systems. Did she know this? Probably not. At least, she didn't know it until it was too late.
Or how about the fellow who backed over his kid's bicycle in the driveway? He had one of those beeper systems that is supposed to indicate when there is something in the path as you are backing up. Mind you, he hadn't washed his car in a month or so, so the sensors had nothing to work with, being caked in mud.
Artificial intelligence is definitely fallible. It cannot make up for the factors that humans present on a daily basis that simply mess it up. I read a quote somewhere once that said, "Artificial Intelligence is no match for Natural Stupidity!" How true!
