Down the Rabbit Hole
So often I hear people ask me if because they have experienced something "weird" I think that they may be going crazy? I have to ask them, however, why they immediately equate weird with crazy? Weird is simply something with which one is not familiar. It is easy to ask ourselves, "What if I'm wrong? What if I'm just crazy?" This does, after all, eliminate any personal responsibility for whatever reality we are experiencing. It is much more difficult to ask ourselves, "What if I'm right?"
Experiencing something strange and, at the same time, being right forces us to rearrange our realities. A trip down the rabbit hole does not a crazy person make. Not many people get to take that trip, after all. And those who are chosen to do so are the lucky ones who are then able to bring that mystical experience to this realm and have a different understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, places, people and realities.
We are living in a time when the "weird" is becoming more predominant. This is because of the shifts in the energy fields of the Earth. Where one stable vortex once was there is now simply a field of grain. Where there once was just a house is now a most powerful vortex that can transport us and other beings to many different realms. We are having to create a new road map of energy lines and vortexes. As a result, more people are now also becoming aware of the "others" that are passing through. And some who have never before "travelled" are now getting their ethereal visas. This is a scary time for some, and that is why Hollywood is making millions of dollars off of that fear. But for the most part it is an exciting time because now what was once deemed as "weird" is becoming common knowledge. This can make my job as a shaman easier, which is good. It has also presented its own set of challenges in terms of helping otherwise unreceptive individuals to begin coping with their new found perceptions. It is an adjustment. We must, however, adjust. After all, if we try to stay stagnant we will simply be left in the dust as the rest of humanity evolves. So go ahead, take a trip down that rabbit hole and see what you might discover. And as you do, remember......have a sense of adventure!
Blessed Be

Whoa - I read your post just minutes after returning from a journey I just took! The timing could not have been more perfect!
My journey down the rabbit hole this morning took me to an ancient mountainside, where I was a Mayan priest in training; I was helping to place the body of a recently deceased member of the community into a sacred cave, where the mummification process would be completed. All the ceremonial rites had been performed and the body prepared and posed to exacting standards prior to this sacred act of placement within the cave, where Mother Earth would finish the mummification process by exhaling her hot, dry breath from the depths of her being into the cave. The completion rate of the mummification process depended entirely on the size of the deceased at death, and once complete (the priests would send their most knowledgeable person up to the cave from time to time to check on the progress) the priests would bring the desicated remains back to the community for the final funereal rites and burial. Everyone participated in the send-off, a celebration of a life that was lived for a time on Earth and continue in another dimension.
Thank you so much for sharing that, Gail!
