Dragons In Our Midst

There are many forms of dragons in our world, should we choose to see them. Air dragons tend to be found in the sky, Water dragons in lakes, rivers and oceans, Fire dragons near volcanoes and so on. Earth dragons seem to be the most well hidden right in front of our eyes. They have the ability to shape shift into rock and stone formations, into hills and also become part of the face of a mountain or the bark of a tree.

Why do they do this? Actually, it is about self-preservation. Humans have not been the kindest of creatures to the dragons. Quite frankly, with all our silly dragon slaying we seem to have lost their trust, for some reason or other. It takes quite the gifted soul to now be able to find a dragon amongst its camouflage. But the thing is that gifted individuals are used to seeing what has always been right there in front of us, unseen to the rest of humanity. Yes, sometimes others will call us things like "crazy" because they don't have the gift of sight. But eventually, as we choose wisely those with whom we share our visions, our understanding of the world around us ripples outward. Over time, the consciousness that we possess becomes something akin to common knowledge. I would say that it won't be more than, say, the next 200 years and the world will once again know the presence of the dragon. That doesn't seem so long to wait, considering how slow people can be in catching up.

The question, however, is what humans will do with the information. It is my hope that, through avenues such as my blog site and a variety of books that are written on the subject, we will be able to educate humanity so that they don't repeat old patterns of mistakes. After being slaughtered to near extinction the sea otter rarely visits the coastline anymore and will never do so if there is a bi-ped in earshot or in sight. The dragons have magic that can keep them safe for now. The sea otter did not. Having lost the trust of the sea otter humans now have to go onto its turf to get any information on it. Perhaps this is why only magical humans can find the dragons. Perhaps that is a turf that we have in common, and perhaps having that in common creates a trust level for first contact. Once that contact is made, we still have to prove ourselves worthy of further contact. As we do, relationship develops and rapour becomes established. As partners, the magical ones and the dragons are able to begin the process of re-creating harmony in the world, which is not a small task by any stretch!

Dragons in the Mist

Actually, it was not so much a mist about a week ago or so. It was more like a fog. I mean…a FOG. The city was blanketed for hours with this amazing formation of deep fog, the kind of which I have only ever seen by the ocean.

As I was getting ready for bed, after a very long day’s work, I noticed something move just beyond the balcony. I looked out and the only thing I could say was “Wow!” My partner was asking, “Wow, what?” and all I could do was repeat, “Wow!”

What I was seeing was a dance of many dragons through the fog. I know that all this sounds a bit far fetched, even for a shaman. But I have worked with dragon energies for a long time now. This was the first time that they have shown up uninvited. I was filled with awe and the feeling of truly being blessed. When the elements come in as strongly as the fog did that night, I feel an increased awareness that something is shifting. It is usually a something that involved a shift in consciousness. It is amazing how dragons, in particular, have an ability to shift one’s consciousness. First off, they completely challenge our paradigms of reality. We have been taught for a few centuries now that dragons not only do not exist, but that they never have existed. This is a lie. The dragons told me that they went into hiding when humans betrayed them. Now they exist mostly on the ethereal planes. They can, however, also cross the veils and come into the physical planes. They have done so when I have invited them, once they knew they could trust me. And they obviously do so when they choose to themselves, otherwise they would not have been there in the first place.

When I later asked them what they were doing, they said that they were playing. They don’t often have an opportunity to do so because the clear skies mean that they can be detected very easily. So one of the ancient grandfathers amongst them, knowing that the grandchildren needed to get out into the physical world and just play, summoned the fog so that they would have the freedom to do so. They also told me that there were others who noticed them. Some of the others were those whom they have worked with before. Others, whom they have never met, caught their first glimpse of dragons that night. Their consciousness was then raised and they can hopefully now become dragon helpers as well. I invite all who are interested and who were able to see them to let go of the fear and start connecting. There is nothing scary about them at all, once we let go of our own fears.

Dragons

I have been thinking a lot about dragons lately. Mostly because on the astral plane I have encountered a lot more of them. I am also noticing that there are some showing themselves when I am doing energy balancing for people. They are around the person I am working on. Some are aware of them, some just give a strange look when I mention them. That is okay. I am used to the strange looks.

It is not an accident that I am also becoming more sensitive to the dragon lines in the earth. These veins of energy ( some of which stream through my yard and my sacred healing space) are seeming much more powerful in voltage of late. I am looking forward to working more with them.

And also not by accident, a dear friend gifted me with a book on Dragons called Dancing with Dragons. I find that some of the information in it seems a wee bit dogmatic, but most of it is excellent resourse material. So I thank you for that, both the friend and the author of the wonderful book!
