The Way Eye See It

My daughter is brilliant. I know. That sounds like a proud dad bragging. Well, even others think she is, so there! She was selected recently to perform a public debate regarding literary subject matter. She rocked! I was amazed at how well spoken she is and how articulate she can be. She also worked the audience, quite naturally, and had them laughing. Needless to say, she and her team mate won the debate. It really wasn't about winning or losing for her. It was more the opportunity to present in such a public manner. There was challenge and excitement, as well as honour in having been selected in the first place.

I will always know that I can count on her to present her opinion, even if others disagree with it. This is part of what I love about her. Strong willed, she is that, and independent, thank goodness, but always honest about what she thinks. I have reason to be a proud dad!

Blessed Be

The saying, 'the acorn doesn't fall far from the oak tree' applies here.
May your daughter enjoy many more self-empowering and self-confirming opportunities in the years to come. Way to go, Acorn!
